LAHORE Muttahida Kisan Mahaz has criticised the governments silence over Indian Water aggression and for not protecting the water rights of the country given in Indus Water Treaty. While addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club here on Thursday, Mahaz President Ayub Khan Meo said the rulers have failed to bring development in agriculture field and threatened to start disobedience movement from November 1 if the government had not taken the practical steps towards construction of mega water reservoirs. He said the government was mum on the Pakistani rivers water piracy by India. Govt is following the international agenda of turning the country into desert and is not constructing the cheap electricity generation projects intentionally, he alleged. He said the provincial government provided benefit to its blue-eyed persons by fixing support price on wheat. Now, he added, the fertilizer mafia have been creating the fake shortages of fertilizer to earn huge profit. He said the water shortages due to the Indian theft and the rulers inabilities have been creating acute shortage of water for crops. He said the Kisan Mahaz would not remain silent over the water theft and launch a protest movement against it.
