LAHORE - A delegation of National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) met different political figures in order to get their support for the continuation of the organisation. The delegation comprised NCHD Director General Zulfiqar Ahmad, Acting Director Operations Punjab Ch Muhammad Ijaz, DGMs Shahrukh Abbas, Amna Jamil, Ahsen Sadique and M Naveed Mughal met former Federal Minister for Education Sardar Asef Ahmad Ali, PPP Punjab chapter President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Syed Khursheed Shah and Ch Manzoor Ahmad and briefed them about the anxiety of NCHD employees after the abolishment plan of the organisation. While assuring his support, Sardar Asef Ahmad Ali said Pakistan could not afford to lose such organisation which was serving all over the country and providing the education to the poor people at their door steps. He expressed full support for the continuation of the organisation. Imtiaz Safdar Warraich asked the NCHD DG to submit facts and figures regarding the situation and staff to take necessary measures to settle down the issue. Syed Khursheed Shah said a committee had been formed to resolve the issue of NCHD on priority basis. The committee formed by the Prime Minister is working on the issue and hopefully the PM will announce good news regarding continuation of NCHD in the first week of August, he said.
