MIRANSHAH (INP) - The Shura-e-Mujahideen of North Waziristan Taliban led by Commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur Wazir has unanimously decided to expel and punish all those journalists who were involved in publishing baseless news against Taliban of North Waziristan Agency (NWA). A spokesman for Gul Bahadur group of Taliban on Thursday dismissed the statement which said that Gul Bahadur group has issued ultimatum to militants from other areas, especially militants loyal to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud, to leave North Waziristan. The report was published in local and international media and later on it was revealed that Hakimullah Mehsud has fled to Orakzai Agency after receiving the ultimatum. 'Shura-e-Mujahideen of North Waziristan has not asked anyone to leave the area, the spokesman for Taliban based in North Waziristan declared. The CIA and Afghan authorities consider North Waziristan as launching pad for cross-border attacks into Afghanistan. The Taliban group threatened to expel all those journalists from their controlled areas who are feeding 'baseless news about their leaders. 'Enough is enough, we will no more pardon those journalists who will in future circulate baseless news, Ahmadullah Ahmadi, the Gul Bahadur group spokesman said. 'We will expel those journalists who pursue yellow journalism, he said, adding, 'no journalist involved in propaganda against Hafiz Gul Bahadur would be forgiven. The spokesman said the Taliban are investigating the matter as to who spread the false news. The threat came a day after reports appeared in a section of the local media that the Taliban faction led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur has asked militants from South Waziristan and other areas to leave North Waziristan.
