In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the President of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has reiterated that Kashmir issue can be resolved either through the implementation of UN resolutions or tripartite talks. Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is currently under house arrest, in statement said that the Kashmir dispute was the root cause of tension between Pakistan and India. The biggest hurdle in the peaceful relations of the two countries is Kashmir problem. Until this dispute is not solved, peace will remain a distant dream in South Asia, he said. He added that either the UN resolutions or the participation of Kashmiris in dialogue process could resolve the dispute between India and Pakistan. He expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of Hurriyet leaders languishing in different jails under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA). Welcoming the release of the Chairman of Kashmiri American Council, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai in the US, he said, We hope America will respect the feelings of Kashmiris.
