Fawad says political parties should settle their issues without involving establishment.

ISLAMABAD    -   Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday lashed out at the Sindh government for its alleged rising tendencies to silence the political opponents, demanding immediate release of opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh.

Speaking at the press conference here flanked by senior party leader Imran Ismail, PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry said that if someone wanted to see any “face of fascism,” it was the Sindh government. He urged that the provincial government should release Sheikh who was merely being punished for his loyalty with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Chaudhry said that the Sindh government would get nothing by such brutal tactics, as the Pakistan People’s Party (PP) should be ready to face Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) like thrashing at the hands of the PTI in the forthcoming elections.

He stated that there was no such thing as the government in the country, as the federation was silent on all the problems facing the country. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not go to his office for 12 days, which spoke volumes of his non-seriousness to run the affairs of his ministry, he added. He accused that Bilawal Bhutto was living in a dream world and knew nothing. “Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Tariq Fatemi went to America to do lobbying for premier Shahbaz Sharif, however, he faced failure in the lobbying,” he maintained.

Chaudhry said that PM Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto were busy hatching conspiracy against the judiciary while the rupee was fast depleting, as it lost its value by 62 against dollar in just 100 days. He went on to say that the country was facing myriad crises at present, as the dollar was going up at an alarming pace and the stock market was nose-diving. Therefore, he stated that in such a situation, ‘we have to set the election date and if the government resists it, the PTI must send the government home without any further delay. Coming down hard on Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, former information minister Fawad said that the only solution to all the problems being faced by the country presently was immediate election.

He mocked Rana by saying that a person who could not save his party’s chief minister in Punjab, how he would bring a motion of no confidence against anyone else. Chaudhry said that meetings were held in London to topple the PTI government; one group of PML-N became pro and the other anti-establishment. He said that the political parties should sit on the negotiation table to settle their issues without involving the establishment as the latter did not have that significance, which it enjoyed in the past. Speaking on the occasion, Imran Ismail said that Haleem Adil Sheikh was arrested for the tenth time, as CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah wanted to strangulate him. The PTI stated that Imran Khan has taken strict notice of this matter, who would camp in Sindh to rid the people of the province of “tyrant and fascist government.” He said that the Sindh government should do as much cruelty as they could bear, as journalists were being killed in the province
