Rehman Malik’s Chehlum held at London resistance

ISLAMABAD - Rasme-e-Chehlum and Qur’an Khawani for former Interior Minister and senior PPP leader Senator Rehman Malik was held at his historical residence in London in which a large number of people from all walks of life including political, religious, media and social personalities participated and prayed for the departed soul of Late Abdul Rehman Malik. Dr Zaheer and Nadeem Qiaser organized the Chehlum.  Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s sister Sanam Bhutto, her husband and cousin Muzaffar participated in Qur’an recitation and Chehlum.

Ms. Sanam Bhutto expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Senator Rehman Malik.

PPP UK and Europe senior leaders and office bearers including Mohsin Bari, Riaz Kohmarvi, Mian Aslam, Arif Mughal, Riaz Khan, Habib Jan, Abrar Mir, Asif Ali Khan and others attended the Rasm e Chehlum. PPP leaders Chaudhry Nisar, Malik Mehraban, Raja Azam, Malik Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Chaudhry Tariq were also among the participants.  PPP leaders and others paid homage to the late Abdul Rehman Malik for his unparalleled services to his country and nation and the Pakistan Peoples Party.

They said that late Abdul Rehman Malik was man of outstanding qualities and always helped the needy and his services to Pakistan and the people will always be remembered.

Former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik’s residence in the UK is historic in many ways and the participants continued to remember former late  Rehman Malik and express deep sorrow over his sad demise.

Participants said that during the exile of Ms. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, the house of the late Abdul Rehman Malik was the center of her political engagements and activities and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had signed the historic agreement Charter of Democracy on this house.
