Two female drug peddlers among outlaws arrested

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested a gang of female drug peddlers and recovered drugs from their possession.
A press note issued from office of SSP Islamabad Capital Territory Police stated that police team, during an operation conducted against the drug mafia, arrested two women from various areas of the city and recovered 4.45 kilograms drugs including opium from their possession.
According details, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hussain from Golra police station along with police team arrested two female drug peddlers during special checking at Sadaat Colony and recovered 4.45-kg opium from their possession. The accused were identified as Sonia Bibi and Shamim Bibi.
Spokesperson of Islamabad police said they were interrogating the accused that may have connection with drug mafia including Nigerian nationals operating in the federal capital.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, ASI Zafar Iqbal from CIA police arrested four thieves identified as Saleem, Javed, Riaz, and Pervez and recovered valuable from their possession. ASI Muhammad Anwar from Margallah police station arrested five and initiated cases against them under relevant section. ASI Saleem Raza from Ramna police station arrested two foreign nationals Yousaf Hussain and Muhammad Saeed as they could not produce any authentic document for their legal stay in the country.
ASI Shahid Munir from Industrial Area police station arrested Jameel Khawar for having beer while ASI Zulfqar Ali from Shehzad Town police recovered one 30-bore pistol from an accused Shaukat Ali. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way from them.
SSP Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas.
