Youm-e-Takbeer celebrated with fervour


MULTAN/ARIFWALA/HAFIZABAD
Renewing their pledge to thwart conspiracies of anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam elements, the citizens, political activists and civil society organisations celebrated Youm-e-Takbeer with national zeal and enthusiasm as a number of functions were held here to mark the occasion on Tuesday.
The major Youm-e-Takbeer ceremony was organised by Nazariya-e-Pakistan Forum while the PML-N city, Young Pakistanis Organisation, PML-N Women Wing, Muslim Students Federation and other organisations also held separate functions.
Addressing the Youm-e-Takbeer ceremony held by Nazariya-e-Pakistan Forum, Hameed Raza Siddiqui and others said that today’s Youm-e-Takbeer sought the nation to achieve self-reliance in all fields of lives. They added that entire world hatched conspiracies against Pakistan’s nuclear programme and tried to stop us from conducting nuclear tests. “However, Mian Nawaz Sharif rejected all pressures and threats and conducted the tests,” they added. They said that the imperialist powers later on strangled democracy in Pakistan with the help of dictator.
They paid rich tributes to the Editor-in-Chief of Nawa-i-Waqt/The Nation Majid Nizami for pushing Mian Nawaz Sharif to conduct the blasts. “He (Majid Niazami) was the only person who interpreted nation’s aspirations before Mian Nawaz Sharif. Also, he is the only person who kept the tradition of Youm-e-Takbir celebrations alive during the last 16 years,” they added.
Referring to prevailing situation in the country, they said that it was outcome of ill-advised and pro-US policies of previous rulers. “Today world raises questions on our very existence. It’s just because of wrong policies of our rulers,” they added.
Meanwhile, the PML-N district, city, women wing, minorities wing, PML-N Society for Human Rights, Labour Wing and other chapters also held separate Youm-e-Takbeer functions in different areas of Multan. The N workers cut cakes, distributed sweets, danced to drum beat and held special prayers for the progress and prosperity of the country. The speakers and participants of these functions resolved to foil the vicious designs of enemy through unity.

As per detail, the day May 28 recorded in the history as on that day Pakistan became nuclear power in the world. The day was celebrated at a function organised by PML-N worker Dr Mohammad Abdullah and a large number of leaders and workers participated in its.
Tehsil bar Association President and PML-N District General Secretary Abrar Sheikh addressed the ceremony and said that the PML-N leadership made the country impregnable by conducting nuclear explosions despite severe pressure from the world, adding that now they would make the economic power.
In HAFIZABAD, Youm-e-Takbeer was observed with unprecedented national fervour.
Veteran Muslim Leaguers Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, Dr Muzaffar Ali Sheikh cut a huge cake to commemorate the historic day Tuesday evening in the Dera of Muslim Leaguer Malik Sadaqat Hayat  Awan here.
Addressing large gathering, they said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif gave befitting reply to the 5 atomic tests conducted by the Indian and written history by detonating six nuke explosions at Chaghi and Kharan on May 28, 1998 despite pressure by the western countries, he had taken bold steps to make the country an atomic power and made the country invincible fortress of Islam and raised the respect and dignity of not only Pakistanis but also of the whole Ummah.
They said that under the dynamic leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif would make the country strong and prosperous and steer the country out of the prevailing crisis. They called upon the masses to rally round Mian Nawaz Sharif and strengthen his hands to enable him to mitigate their sufferings and to make the country strong and stable. They also appealed to the workers to prepare themselves for the upcoming local bodies elections.
Yaum-e-Takbeer was also observed in the city Office of PML-N by MPA-elect Malik Fayyaz and local workers. Ch. Afzal Hussain Tarar District President PML-N, Saira Afzal Tarar MNA-elect were conspicuous from their absence. Later, Malik Fayyaz cut a cake to celebrate the historic day.
