Youm-e-Takbeer observed at GCUF

Like other parts of the country, Youm-e-Takbeer was celebrated with traditional zeal and fervor here in Faisalabad district on Tuesday.
In this regard, a ceremony was held at GCUF’ Takbeer Block which was presided over by GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Zakir Hussain. Addressing the audience, the VC said that May 28 was one of most important days in the history of Pakistan.
He paid rich tributes to the services of Dr Abdul Qadir Khan and his associates who, he said had dedicated their services to ensure the balance of power in the region.
“May 28th has become a historic day for Pakistan and is called Youm-e-Takbeer. It is on this day that the nation remembers its great achievement,” he said.
He termed Pakistan as first Islamic nuclear power on global map due to courageous steps and decisions of national leadership.
He said that now, it was the responsibility of the whole nation to develop the county in the fields of science and technology and economy.
He also stressed upon the students to leave no stone unturned by using their God given skills and hardworking to move the county to the new horizons of prosperity.
