CM Shehbaz Sharif leaves for London for PM Nawaz's surgery

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif along with family members today left for London for the open heart surgery of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, due on Tuesday.

Before departing for London, Shehbaz Sharif has requested the nation to pray for the successful operation and quick recovery of PM Nawaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister will be undergoing an open-heart surgery in London on Tuesday. Doctors have advised him bed rest for two weeks after the surgery.

Despite the medical treatment, PM Nawaz will be keeping an eye on the matters of the state and will chair two meetings related to the upcoming federal budget via a video link on Monday.

It may be noted that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will undergo open heart surgery in London on Tuesday, his second major cardiac medical procedure in five years.

The 66-year-old premier is expected to stay in hospital for around a week after the procedure to recover before travelling home.
