LAHORE - Anjuman-e-Tajran Lahore Chairman Khalid Pervez has said that Punjab Text Book Board should evaluate syllabus books without changing them along with further delay so that these books could be prepared well in time and students and their parents could be saved from worries and reservations. He was addressing at a meeting of registered publishers and printers here on Wednesday. He was of the view that change of syllabus subject books without solid reasons not only instigate wastage of money but in view of countrys political and economic circumstances it also becomes very difficult to publish a book within specified time. He suggested that Board should not try to make experiments to change subject books when time is short so that process of publishing syllabus books could be made smooth and corruption free. Khalid Pervez also flayed 33 pc price hike of papers and termed it as blackmailing of paper millers. He maintained that with the opening of Text Book Boards tender, millers increased local paper prices from Rs 62 per kg to Rs 80 without any fear of accountability. He said publishers and printers have become despondent of millers atrocities. He said that it is right time that government should open-heartedly accept traders demands of waiving off duties on paper import.
