islamabad - Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police has arrested four thieves, besides a person for killing his wife, and recovered weapons, stolen mobiles and animals from them, police spokesman said yesterday.
A team was constituted to apprehend outlaws involved in incidents of snatching valuables and theft.
The SIU team also recovered pistol, six mobiles and two buffalos from them. The accused have been identified as Junaid Afraz, Tahir Khan, Ghaniur Rehman and Ghulam Muhammad alias Gulamo. Further investigation is under way and the SIU team is hopeful of more recovery from them.
Meanwhile, homicide unit of Islamabad police arrested a person for killing his wife. The team nabbed Rafaqat Hussain son of Amanat Hussain, a resident of Bohri Athal, Bhara Kahu, Islamabad, as he killed his wife Rida Bibi over some domestic issue.
