SARGODHA    -   Anti-Corruption Estab­lishment (ACE) recov­ered Rs1.12 million from defaulters of conversion fee in Khushab district.

According to ACE spokesperson on Wednesday, ACE Sar­godha came to know that Municipal Corpora­tion Khushaab with the connivance of some of­ficials had built planning branch building without paying conversion fee and prior approval.

On the directions of ACE Regional Direc­tor Sargodha Asma Ijaz Cheema, Assistant Director ACE, inves­tigation Atif Shoukat conducted raid and re­covered Rs1.123 million conversion fee from de­faulters. Further investi­gations were underway.


Provincial Minister for Transport Punjab, Chaudhry Muneeb Sul­tan Cheema, on Wednes­day, handed over recov­ered stolen valuables to their owners here in po­lice lines in a ceremony.

Police said that in line with special directives of District Police officer (DPO), Sargodha, Mu­hammad Tariq Aziz, the teams recovered valu­ables worth Rs32.5 mil­lion from criminals in­cluding 67 motorcycles, 20-tola gold, container loaded with valuables worth Rs4.462 million, 42 cattle worth Rs535,000, cash amounting to Rs10.3 million and various others items. The minister after handing over the items to heirs said that the po­lice were striving hard to nab the criminals.
