ISLAMABAD (Online) - The agencies concerned with national security are not ready to take any risk with reference to security of leading nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan despite the orders of Lahore High Court for lifting curbs on his free movement. Military sources say Dr Khan had remained associated with the nuclear programme, which was guarantor of Pakistans security; therefore, his safety could not be compromised in the prevailing circumstances. It was also in the knowledge of Dr Khan that no restrictions had been slapped on his free movement. However, his security and safety was very crucial, sources added. The nuclear scientist has been informed by the agencies about the entire situation as anti-state elements and western countries continue to remain engage in launching propaganda blitz against the nuclear programme of the country, and they will not be allowed to make access to him at any cost.
