LAHORE - Central Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party Fauzia Wahab has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice in order to get the money returned pocketed by the politicians, which was distributed among them by the Inter-Services Intelligence. The CJP should also punish those involved in getting the money so that no one dares indulgence in such an act in the future. Nawaz Sharif must seek an apology for this act, she said, while asserting that trial of those, including General (r) Pervez Musharraf, who did not perform their national duties in the right way, should be held. After three years, our government should also go through the accountability process, and we will justify each and every penny spent during this time, she added, while responding to the questions of mediamen after addressing the fifth annual conference of Syed Fatima (RA) here on Saturday. She averred that the matter of the ISI distributing money among politicians was with the Supreme Court for the last 15 years. Now, after it has come to the fore again, the CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry should suo moto notice of it. Those who took money from the ISI and did not perform their national duties, are the villains, and all leaders of the previous years should be held accountable, she added. To a question about trials, Fauzia Wahab said any one, who harmed the democratic system in the country, and did not actualise their responsibilities and duties, were national culprits, and all such leaders, including Pervez Musharraf, must be tried by the competent courts. While replying to a query about terrorism, she said the first two years of the PPPs had been spent in defeating terrorism and dealing with the energy crisis. That is why, much development work could not be carried out. Now after cleansing Pakistan of terrorists, the pace of work will be expedited. The PPP is a national Party, and it will come up to the expectations of the masses, who has voted for it, she added, while asserting that the PPP government was committed to take the country out of all crises, and would do everything possible to fulfil its commitments made to the people. To a question about Brig (r) Imtiaz, she opined that it was useless talking about the retired army man, as he could not be trusted. People, like him, are enemies of the country, and they cannot be trusted, she observed. While addressing the conference, Fauzia Wahab said mothers should train their children while following into the footsteps of Hazrat Fatima (RA), and mission of the Prophets (SAW) daughter should continue. Great mothers give birth to great generations. The lives of the Azwaaj-e-Mutaharaat (wives of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), and the daughter of the Prophet (SAW) are role models for the Muslim women, she said. The ceremony was also addressed by Federal Minister Samina Ghurki, Quratul Ain Fatima (daughter of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri), MPAs Dr Asma Mamdot, Azma Bokhari, Sajida Mir, and others. The speakers paid rich tributes to Hazrat Fatima (RA) and termed her life a real role model for the women. They asked the womenfolk to follow the path of Hazrat Fatima (RA), and spend their lives in the manner adopted by the daughter of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).
