NBP, Islamabad share National One-Day Cup after washout

Kamran Akmal declared best one-day batsman, Sadaf gets best bowler award, Raza picked as best all-rounder

LAHORE - National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Islamabad Region shared the Cool & Cool Presents Peshawar Zalmi National One-Day Cup 2015-16 trophy as the rain washed out the final here at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
Before the start of the concluding ceremony, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar M Khan presented a shield and Rs one million to international-famed umpire Aleem Dar on completion of 100 Test matches. The PCB has also recommended Sitara-e-Pakistan for Aleem Dar to government of Pakistan.
Kamran Akmal of NBP and Zohaib Ahmed of Islamabad Region jointly received the final trophy from Shaharyar Khan and Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi at the concluding ceremony. The joint winners received Rs 750,000 each while best batsman of the tournament Kamran Akmal of NBP (576 runs), best bowler of the tournament Sadaf Hussain of KRL (20 wickets) and outstanding player/all rounder Raza Ali Dar of Lahore Region Whites (11 wickets and 293 runs) earned Rs 50,000 each.
The NBP team had the services of Kamran Akmal (capt), Adnan Rasool, Afaq Ahmed, Ahmed Jamal, Ahsan Ali, Akbar-ur-Rehman, Ali Manzoor, Ameer Akbar, Amin-ur-Rehman, Fahim Ashraf, Fawad Alam, Hamza Paracha, M Asghar, M Nawaz (3), Nasir Jamshed, Qaiser Abbas, Umar Waheed and Zia-ul-Haq.
The Islamabad Region team had Zohaib Ahmed (capt), Abdul Majid, Abid Ali, Ali Sarfraz, Faizan Riaz, Hamza Nadeem, Hasan Ali, M Irfan, M Naeem, Munir-ur-Rehman, Naeem Anjum†, Salman Ghais, Salman Haider, Sarmad Bhatti, Shahid Yousuf, Shehzad Azam, Sohail Ahmed and Umar Kiyani in its rank.
The officials of the final were Qaisar Waheed and Khalid Mahmood Senior (umpires), Saqib Khan (Tv umpire), Waleed Yaqoob (reserve umpire), Aziz-ur-Rehman (referee) and Abdul Hameed (scorer).
