ISLAMABAD Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the Black box of crashed plane has still not been found, saying that heavy contingent of police has been deployed at the crash site to guard the wreckage. Talking to media men here on Thursday at Aabpara Community Centre, the Interior Minister said that more than 70 police officials were performing their duties at the crash site to keep an eye on the wreckage and the Black box was being searched there. To a query, he said that the investigations were being carried out under the supervision of the high-ups of Civil Aviation Authority and a transparent report based on real facts regarding causes leading to the crash would be made public at the earliest. It may be recalled here that a plane of Airblue carrying 152 passengers and crew members crashed the other day in the Margalla hills killing every one on board. In reply to a question Malik said that the Defence Ministry and officials of Civil Aviation were the right persons to be talked with on the issue. However, if any negligence with regard to the rescue operation on the part of National Disaster Management Authority was found, the concerned officials would face action, he maintained. Malik said that 66 dead bodies had been handed over to the heirs and government was bearing all transportation expanses, as it was the duty of government to facilitate the bereaved families. He said that heavy rain was hampering rescue activities at the site of crash.
