BAHAWALNAGAR-Scores of Tehsil Muncipal Administration Chishtian employees staged a sit-in over non-payment of salaries and pensions for the last two months.
TMA Chistian ‘s employees staged a sit-in at Baldia Chowk Chishtian to mark their protest over non-payment of two-month salaries. Their representatives Manzor Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Baksh Javed told that TMA Chishtian employees are deprived of salaries and pensions for last two months. All the eatables at their homes have been exhausted and now they have reached at the verge of starvation. The gravity of the situation can be gauged that ‘Eid-ul-Fitar’ is approaching and their children demanding for new clothes and shoes.
hey also said that they would suspend the sanitation, water supply and other services if their would not paid salaries and pension in one or two days. Meanwhile Administrator TMA Chishtian Arshad Sidhu has said that employees may salaries has been dispatched to the bank. They would get their may salary on 2 and 4 july from the bank . However arrangement have been made for the provision of June salaries and pension.
