FAISALABAD (APP) - Two armed dacoits who had killed two brothers on showing resistance, were shot dead by citizens in the area of Batala Colony police station here on late Friday night. According to police, cloth merchants Mujahid (50) and his brother Nasir (35) were going home after closing their shop when four armed bandits intercepted them at Bar-katpura. One of them caught a dacoit whose accomplice resorted to indiscriminate firing. The brothers were seriously injured. Meantime the residents gathered on the scene and started firing at the dacoits. Two dacoits were killed on the spot, while the other two escaped. The injured traders were shifted to hospital where they could not survive. People of the area staged a demonstration against police and law enforcing agencies by putting the bodies of victims on the road. They dispersed peacefully after the assurance of the police high-ups that the dacoits involved in the incident would be arrested soon. The police have registered a case and constituted teams for the arrest of outlaws.
