At least six persons were killed and several others including a civil judge injured as violence continued in different areas of the city on Wednesday. According to details, unknown armed men opened fire at two youngsters in Haryana Colony of Orangi Town while they were on their way to open workshop, leaving them critically injured and fled away. The injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where both succumbed to their wounds. Police said that the dual murder could be the outcome of personal enmity. In Hazara Colony of Kala Pul, Defence area of city, unknown gunmen shot dead a labourer of ice cream factory. The body was shifted to hospital where identity of the deceased was confirmed as Ghulam Rasool. Abdul Ghaffar, 36, who was injured a firing incident near Kala Pul a couple of days earlier succumbed to his wounds in Jinnah Hospital on Wednesday morning. Napier police recovered two bullet riddled and tortured bodies from timber market adjacent to Lyari. The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, unidentified armed motorcyclist opened fire at a civil judge Syed Zaheer Naqvi in Ancholi area as soon as he left house for office, injuring him seriously. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where according to hospital sources his condition was critical as he received gunshot wounds in his chest. Firing continued across the city during which more than 10 people were injured of which condition of some was serious.
