KSA supported Pakistan more than our expectations: Parvez

Lahore - Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi at the Assembly Chambers here on Wednesday. On this occasion, both the personalities exchanged views about bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. Provincial Minister Hafiz Ammar Yasir, MNA Salik Hussain and Rasikh Elahi were also present during the meeting. 

Ch Parvez Elahi said: “The basis of our relations with Saudi Arabia is “La Ilaha Illallah Muhammad Rasoolullah”. Whenever Pakistan faced a difficult time Saudi Arabia supported us more than our expectations”.  Parvez Elahi told the Saudi Ambassador that the Punjab Assembly had passed the Quran Majeed Act making teaching of Holy Quran Nazira up to class six and with translation up to Matric compulsory in all government and private educational institutions and its implementation had commenced in the right earnest. The speaker said that Punjab Assembly had made it compulsory to write Khatamun Nabiyeen and Darood Pak with the name of Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).  

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Malik paid tributes to Ch Parvez Elahi for his measures regarding Holy Quran and Khatamun Nabiyeen Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He said that displaying Quranic verses and Ahadith about Khatam-e-Nubawwat in the assembly building was proof of Ch Parvez Elahi’s love for Islam.
