ISLAMABAD - The deadlock persisted between the protesting farmers and the federal government over the former’s demands as interior minister here on Thursday, held talks with the representatives of the community. A delegation of Kisan It tehad, a representative body of farmers, met with Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan at the Ministry of Interior to present their demands. A statement issued by the Interior Ministry, quoting the interior minister said, Rana Sanaullah assured the representatives to resolve their issues. “The talks with the farmers will be taken seriously,” he said, adding that deliberations are going on.
