Rupee loses 15 paisas in interbank


KARACHI - The dollar recorded gain against rupee in the interbank market on Monday, dealers said.
It started the day’s trading at Rs 90.2 for buying, gained 15 paisas and closed at Rs 90.35 for buying and Rs 90.4 for selling. The European currency witnessed growth against local currency, it began the day’s trading at Rs 118.19 for buying, increased 45 paisas and closed at Rs 118.64 for buying and Rs 118.84 for selling. The British pound shed value against the rupee as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 141.6 for buying, slumped eight paisas and closed at Rs 141.52 for buying and Rs 141.72 for selling.
In the open market, the dollar witnessed gain against the rupee, dealers said. It began the day’s trading at Rs 90.2 for buying, gained five paisas and closed at Rs 90.25 for buying and Rs 90.6 for selling. The Euro recorded loss against local currency, it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 118.20 for buying, lost 20 paisas.
