The strenuous efforts of former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in getting duty free market access for Pakistan exports into EU markets will remain unforgettable.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) Chairman Sohail Pasha and Vice Chairman Rizwan Riaz Saigal termed grant of GSP Plus as a milestone achievement of the government and result of comprehensive lobbying and strong diplomacy of the former Punjab Governor.
The PTEA appreciated Chaudhry Sarwar experience in the European Parliament to campaign for the GSP Plus and enhanced image of the nation at international level.
They said that the trade concessions awarded by the EU had opened a big window of opportunities for Pakistani Textile Exports and would lead to increase textile exports to EU and generate significant economic activity in the country.
