I appreciate your much needed editorial on the above issue. The debate to ban the trio for life has been going on since long but your write up strongly represents the views of the sane section of the society. Why sideline these players when they already had their share of the punishment? Those suggesting more punishment to the trio talk of the national esteem dented with their immoral deeds five years back. My questions is how about our political leaders and corrupt bureaucrats who have done much more damage than these three players but are still enjoying their positions of power rather shamelessly, claiming to be causalities of political victimization. We vote to power time and again irrespective of their (mis)deeds.
