ISLAMABAD - Accountability Court Islamabad summoned Joint Investigation Team Chief Wajid Zia to record his statement in the assets beyond mean corruption reference against former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

On Tuesday when the judge Mohammad Bashir took up the case against former finance minister, SECP officer Sidra Mansoor deposed before the court.

She presented the record of three companies owned by Ishaq Dar, including Gulf Insurance, CNG Pakistan Limited and Pakistan Development Fund Limited.

Another prosecution witness Suleman Saeed was also to record his statement but as the hearing in the case was adjourned for today (Wednesday) so he would depose before the court today.

Before adjournment, judge Mohammad Bashir asked the prosecution to bring JIT Head Wajid Zia and investigation team today(Wednesday) to record their statements as they were now the only ones left in the list of prosecution witnesses to record their statements.

The prosecution counsel sought time of couple of days for bringing JIT head Wajid Zia and investigation team for recording their statements which was accepted by the court.
