‘Accused involved in I-8 imambargah attack held’

islamabad - Islamabad police have arrested the accused involved in attack on imam bargah in Sector I-8 a few months back, claimed sources.

The accused have been arrested from Lahore who reportedly wanted to fan sectarianism through the incident. The accused have also confessed involvement in several other cases of terrorism, the sources said. They said that the accused belonged to a banned outfit.

A team of Islamabad police would soon be travelling to Lahore to bring the accused to Islamabad, the sources said.

Furthermore, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Sultan Azam Temuri said that education was vital for success in life as it polished the skills and ensured a bright future.

He was speaking to those children of police officials who got good numbers and positions in various classes. The IGP said that only way to steer the country out of the crisis and challenges was education and hard work. The efforts of young generation can ensure the prosperity of the nation, he maintained.

He said, “I am feeling happy to meet you and congratulate you on your remarkable success bringing good name for you and your families”.

Later, the IGP distributed souvenirs among the students and prayed for their bright future.
