CHINIOT-A man shot dead his two sisters over suspicion of having developed illicit relations with local youths here on Tuesday.

According to police, Tassawar, son of Ahmad Ali, a resident of Haji Wala area, had a suspicion that his two sisters - Kalsoom Bibi, 22, and Sattan Bibi, 26, have illicit relations with local youths. Sources claimed that villagers often taunted him by calling "Bay Gharat." Feeling bad at the repeated taunts of the villagers, he got enraged and shot his both sisters dead in his house.

The accused fled the scene.

The Muhammad Wala Police SHO informed that the police have registered on its own and teams have constituted to arrest the killer who is at large.

Killer of three brothers

The Langrana Police claimed to have lassoed the murderer of three brothers who carried head money announced by the Punjab government, 10 years after the occurrence.

According to police, a team of the Langrana Police led by SHO Muhammad Afzal, raided a house in village Chak 235/JB and arrested Mazhar Abbas, son Mallah, a notorious proclaimed offender who was enrolled in black book of the Punjab government and carried a bounty of Rs175,000 on his head.

Spokesperson for the District Police Waqas Minhas told media men that Mazhar committed first murder in his village when he shot dead Anwar, son of Shamman over a petty dispute in 2008.

His brother Muhammad Jagday lodged FIR against the accused and was leading legal battle against him when Mazhar also killed Jagday in 2010. After that, the third brother Alam Sher, son of Shamman got lodged a murder case and was pursuing a legal case against him when he also fell prey to the proclaimed offender in 2011.

After taking the charge, DPO Tahir Rehman reopened the old homicide cases and constituted teams to arrest the killers on which he was arrested from his hideout, Waqas added.

Two siblings gunned down over property row

GUJRANWALA -A man along with his sister was gunned down by cousin over a property dispute here at Shaheenabad on Tuesday.

According to police, Irfan, a resident of Shaheenabad and his Shafqat had been locked in a dispute over property. On Tuesday, Shafqat stormed into the house of Irfan and fired indiscriminate gunshots. Resultantly, Irfan and his sister Iqra sustained fatal gunshot wounds and breathed their last on the spot. On information, the Dhulley Police rushed to the scene and shifted the dead bodies to DHQ Hospital Gujranwala for autopsy. The police have registered a case and launched investigation.

MAN CRUSHED: An unidentified man was crushed to death by a train while crossing rail track here near Nigar Phatak. Rescue sources informed that a 40-year-old man was crossing railway line near Nigar Phatak when a train crushed him to death.
