President facing vengeance not accountability: Babar Awan

Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan on Wednesday underlined that President Asif Ali Zardari is facing victimization not accountability, adding that, everyone should be held accountable instead of individuals. Talking to media men outside the Parliament House, he made it clear, Government will not allow trial of late Former Premier and Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Benazir Benazir's tomb. BB was held accountable on November 5, 1996 and now President Asif Ali Zardari and their accomplices are being held accountable, he said. All should be held accountable instead of few individuals, he added. After a lapse of 37 years, he said, a Constitutional Package is being introduced to ensure autonomy of Provinces so that they could use their natural resources themselves. Answering to a question, he said, investigation report of United Nations Commission, looking into the murder of Former Premier Minister Benazir Bhutto, would be released in mid of April. When asked about accountability bill, he said, it would be tabled in the Parliament soon. We are promoting Politics of reconciliation in the country and not even a single case has been registered against opponent in ongoing tenure of PPP-led Government, he said.
