Dubai Islamic Bank, EFU sign agreement
KARACHI (PR): Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited (DIBPL) and EFU Life Assurance Limited have entered into a corporate BancaTakaful agreement enabling a landmark distribution alliance for EFU Life’s Window Family Takaful Products under a dedicated brand “Hemayah”.
The business venture will benefit both parties in terms of revenue and cross selling of products whereby they will be using their resources & marketing channels for the promotion and distribution of EFU Hemayah Takaful products.
The signing ceremony was held at DIBPL head office Karachi in the presence of senior officials from both organizations including Taher G. Sachak (CEO & MD EFU Life), Junaid Ahmed, (CEO DIBPL), Khawaja Asif (Head of Consumer Banking DIBPL) and Husein Sachak (Head of Bancassurance EFU Life) .
Speaking on the occasion, Junaid Ahmed said, “This is one of the most important initiatives of this year, as DIBPL is privileged to be the first Bank in the industry to enter this strategic business alliance with EFU Life. This business venture will surely benefit both DIBPL & EFU Life as this collaboration will improve DIBPLs market leading footprint and help to further grow its share in Pakistan’s Takaful Industry”.

PTCL expands CharJi
EVO services
KARACHI (PR): Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has expanded its next-generation CharJi EVO wireless broadband service to Multan.
The introduction of this high speed wireless service will enable residents of Multan to experience fastest wireless broadband service of the country offered by PTCL. PTCL ushered a new era of technological innovation in the country by introducing the next generation ‘CharJi EVO’ in August last year, which is an addition to the successful EVO range of products already serving millions of users in the country.
The launching ceremony was attended by a large audience of business community, Government officials, media personalities, along with representatives of IT and education sectors.

Aslam Bhatti appointed new PTBA secretary general
LAHORE (PR): Aslam Bhatti has been appointed as Secretary General of Pak-Turk Businessmen Association (PTBA). The association is working to promote trade, business and economic relations between Pakistan, rest of world, especially with Turkey. It has been playing a pivotal role to portray soft image of Pakistan in the world as business-friendly and peaceful country in the world since its establishment in 2010.
The association role in bring direct foreign investment (FDI) and attracting foreign investors is appreciated at all high levels. Newly-appointed PTBA Secretary Aslam Bhatti said that the association had invited a large number of Turkish delegations to visit Pakistan next month. They wish to increase exports of Pakistan and are trying to find new markets for Pakistani products. They intend to take Pakistani delegation to Africa, Central Asia, Russia, Turkey and Germany soon. He resolved to increase Pak-Turkey trade volume from $2 to $3 billion with Turkey during financial year 2015-16.
