FORMER Federal Minister and noted human rights activist Ansar Burney was deported on arrival in India on Friday, reports ND TV. He was put on a flight to Dubai immediately after his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. According to the TV, it was done on the instructions of Indian Home Ministry. The Home Ministry had issued a lookout circular against Burney. Burney, who helped in the release of Indian spy Kashmir Singh and assured help in the release of Sarabjit Singh, was to attend a two-day conference in India. Burney expressed shock and surprise at this development.
