USKT to establish Pak-Afro connection in Rabat

SIALKOT - University of Sialkot (USKT) will be the first university to establish African study centre in Pakistan. The development is backed by Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat, Morocco. Ambassador of Pakistan to Kingdom of Morocco, Hamid Asghar Khan addressed students, scholars and academicians at University of Sialkot and unveiled potential of Africa with regard to new opportunities particularly in the areas of technology, trade and investment. He urged USKT leaders to step forward and venture with Moroccan universities in the areas of mutual interest. Today growth and development is product of international connections, when countries failed to connect with other countries they become more and more isolated, he said. While addressing the session, University of Sialkot Executive Director, Muhammad Rehan Younas hailed the visit of ambassador and briefed about the potential of the varsity to steer a course of research & collaborations with African countries. University of Sialkot Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Saeed Ul Hasan Chishti emphasised on importance of international linkages and termed it a way to network effectively with academia and industry of other countries.
