LAHORE - In connection with the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan, a vibrant and patriotic ceremony was held at the Tara Group head office. The event featured an Independence Day rally, followed by a cake cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khalid Hameed, Chairman of Tara Group, extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and offered prayers for Pakistan’s continued peace, prosperity, and sovereignty. “On this auspicious day, we pray that Almighty Allah blesses our homeland with lasting stability and progress,” he said. He emphasized that free nations uphold their independence with unwavering commitment and are always prepared to make any sacrifice necessary for the protection and dignity of their country. Dr Hameed paid tribute to the Pakistan armed forces for their resolute defense during Operation Bunyan al Marsus, stating, “The nation salutes our brave defenders who raised the flag of honor against the cowardly enemy.”
Executive Group Director Ch Maqsood Ahmed, in his remarks , reiterated Tara Group’s pledge to actively contribute to the nation’s growth and defense. “On this Independence Day, we reaffirm our commitment to standing united for the progress and prestige of our beloved country,” he said.
Dr Shehryar Khalid, Group Director and CEO of Tara Group, reflected on the true meaning of freedom, noting that the hardships faced by the people of Palestine and Kashmir serve as a stark reminder of its value. “Nations are defined by their spirit of freedom. Our youth are not only dedicated to safeguarding this blessing but are also determined to ensure Pakistan’s success in the global economic arena,” he said. He stressed the importance of equipping young Pakistanis with education and modern skills, particularly in fields such as artificial intelligence, computer and data sciences, agri technology, and bioengineering. “To thrive in this era of rapid innovation, our youth must keep pace with global advancements,” he added.
Director Seeds & Imports Hassan Khalid and Director Seeds Muhammad Ahsan extended warm Independence Day greetings to the nation. They underscored Tara Group’s resolve to play a proactive role in national development, stating that economic independence enables nations to live with dignity and pride. The ceremony was attended by senior officials and staff including GM HR Azhar Bukhari, Director Finance Noor-ul-Nabi, Dr Ahmad Saleem, Abdul Majeed Ramay, Dr. Mubashir Hayee, Khawaja Ghulam Jelani, among others.
