During his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Paçacı Neziroğlu expressed strong sentiments of unity between Pakistan and Turkiye, stating that the two countries are not separate states but a single, united nation.
“I want to convey a message to the people of Pakistan — we are not two different states but one nation with shared values and a common destiny,” said the ambassador. He also acknowledged the historical support of Pakistan during the Khilafat Movement, calling it a moment of deep significance for Turkiye.
He emphasized the strong bond between the two nations, highlighting shared religious and strategic interests. "As Muslim countries, our objectives are aligned. Turkiye has always supported Pakistan in times of need and will continue to do so,” he added.
LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad expressed gratitude toward Turkiye for its consistent support. “The people of Pakistan deeply value Turkiye’s unwavering friendship, especially during difficult times,” he said. He also praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s solidarity with Pakistan, calling it instrumental in the country’s progress.
Looking ahead, Shad underlined the importance of deepening economic ties, stating, “Enhancing bilateral trade between Pakistan and Turkiye is vital. Our trade relationship is steadily advancing and holds immense potential for growth.”
