VEHARI - On the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer, various events were organised in Vehari to celebrate Pakistan’s historic victory against India. A vibrant fireworks display was held at Municipal Committee Vehari, where citizens gathered to express patriotic enthusiasm and national pride. Deputy Commissioner Imrana Touqeer stated that victorious nations celebrate their achievements with great zeal, and May 10 will always be remembered as a day of triumph.
She added that the purpose of the celebration is to make these moments unforgettable and to pay tribute to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan. In a separate event at V-Chowk Vehari, candles were lit in honour of the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the nation.
Assistant Commissioner Ghazala Kanwal, Deputy Director Information Mian Naeem Asim, Municipal Officer Rao Naeem Khalid, and a large number of citizens, including women and children, participated. Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs. Participants expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices of the armed forces and emphasised that the nation stands united with them. The ceremony was also attended by DEO Elementary (Women) Andleeb Asghar, Deputy DEO Rana Akbar, Sub-Engineer Shoaib Iqbal, and others.
