Youm-e-Ali observed amid tight security in Karachi

KARACHI  -  The Martyrdom Day (Youm-e-Ali) of Hazrat Ali (RA) is observed in Karachi amid tight security like other parts of the country.

The main procession of Youm-e-Ali in Karachi has commenced from Nishtar Park, which will culminate at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar by passing through its traditional routes.

The Police and Rangers jawans have been deployed on the main routes of the procession.

Walk-through gates have also been installed as part of foolproof security arrangements. A traffic plan has also been chalked out by Sindh Traffic Police on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the main procession of Youm-e-Ali a.s., which started from Nishtar Park, culminated at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar, here on Saturday.

The procession passing through its traditional routes reached the Hussainia Iranian Imambargah.

On the directives of the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Police and Rangers jawans were deployed on the main routes of the procession to provide foolproot security to the participants of the procession. Snap-checking was carried out and walk-through gates were also installed as part of the foolproof security arrangements.  A traffic plan was  also chalked out by Sindh Traffic Police for the convenience of the people.

Yom-e-Ali (RA) procession organised amid stringent security

The Yom-e-Ali (RA) procession, which is organized to commemorate martyrdom of Harazt Imam Ali (RA), culminated at Qadam Gah Moula Ali (RA) on Saturday evening after starting from Karbala Dadan Shah near police headquarters.

The procession, protected by layers of security provided by the district police besides Rangers, passed through Raheem Shopping Center road and Station Road before concluding at its destination.

Thousands of mourners participated in the procession whose route was closed for traffic coming from the intersecting roads and streets as well.

DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razzak Dharejo, SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio and other police officers visited the procession to take stock of the security arrangements. The SSP after the procession’s conclusion appreciated the district police for ensuring optimal security for the day.
