No need of filling forms at Erdogan Hospital

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Secretary Health that the paperless system for the provision of medical facilities and compiling medical records should be introduced in hospitals of the province under a phased programme.
Presiding over a meeting on Saturday, the chief minister said that provision of medical facilities to the outdoor patients had been started in the most advanced Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in Muzaffargarh constructed with the help of Turkey. He said that state-of-the-art machinery, medical equipments and other latest facilities had been provided in the hospital.
The CM reviewed the steps with regard to making Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh a 500-bed teaching hospital. Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz commended the Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, terming that a glorious example of the spirit of sacrifice by Turkish government for Pakistanis. He said that latest medical and diagnostic facilities would be available to the people of Punjab in the newly opened hospital, whereas poor patients would get free treatment. He also assured the availability of best indoor and surgery facilities at the hospital.
Shahbaz said that a paperless system of compiling patients’ record and other data through information technology had been introduced in the hospital. He said that work on the project of making Tayyip Erdogan Hospital a 500-bed teaching hospital would soon be started. Shahbaz Sharif disclosed that a centre for rehabilitation of physically disabled persons would be constructed in the hospital. He said that the hospital had been made operational for the treatment of outdoor patients and Turkish doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, along with Pakistani doctors, was also providing treatment to the patients.
The CM said that provision of modern treatment facilities has been started to the people in. Hoping that the state-of-the-art Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in a backward district Muzaffargarh of South Punjab would become a model hospital for the country, he said that provision of quality and modern health facilities to the people is the top priority of the Punjab government.
He said that huge funds had also been allocated for the uplift of health sector in the budget of next financial year. He said that hospitals equipped with latest treatment facilities were being constructed throughout the province. Shahbaz Sharif said that special attention had been paid to the improvement of medical facilities in rural and basic health centres and district headquarters hospitals. He said that billions of rupees were being spent on the provision of free medicines to the deserving patients in government hospitals.
