Late Saqiba's family seeks making commission's report public

QUETTA: Family of late Saqiba, student who had committed suicide after Muslim Bagh college halted her exam registration has filed a plea in Balochistan High Court(BHC) on Monday to make commission’s report public.

Late student’s father filed a plea in BHC against the government for not bringing the report to public eye three months after the incident. The plea stated that authorities concerned are trying to save some influential people belonging to a political party in the coalition government.

The high court admitted the plea and will hear the case tomorrow (Tuesday).

Female student of a college in provincial capital committed suicide after Abida Ghous, principal rejected her registration. Reportedly, late Saqiba had asked the principal to appoint a woman invigilator for the examination.

Grieving family of the student protested against the government and college administration. Saqiba’s siblings observed hunger strike for several days against the injustice.
