Three days after the brutal murder of Sadaf Haslo, a government school teacher in Qambar, police have failed to apprehend the main suspect, Farid Haslo, a police constable and the victim’s groom.
According to reports, Sadaf was fatally shot by Farid Haslo after she refused to go through with her Rukhsati and return to his home. The incident occurred while she was on her way back from work at a local government primary school.
The failure of law enforcement to arrest the suspect—who is a colleague from within the police department—has drawn sharp criticism from the victim’s family. They expressed their deep concern over what they see as negligence and bias in the investigation due to the accused’s ties to the police force.
In response to public outrage, Pakistan People’s Party leader Faryal Talpur has taken notice of the case and urged Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar to ensure the immediate arrest of the fugitive accused.
The tragic killing has sparked widespread condemnation, with rights activists and citizens demanding justice for Sadaf and accountability within the police force.
