ISLAMABAD - The federal government has slashed the rates of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 12.84 per litre, while kept the price of petrol unchanged, for the second fortnight of August 2025.
The prices of Super Kerosene Oil and Light Diesel Oil have also been downward revised by Rs 7.19 per litre and Rs 8.20 per litre, respectively, for the second fortnight of August (16 August-31 August), said a notification issued by Finance Division here Friday. The Government has decided to revise the petroleum product prices for the fortnight commencing August 16, 2025, in line with the recommendations of OGRA and the concerned Ministries, the notification said. The new prices will take effect from August 16, 2025.
Following the cut of Rs 12.84 per litre, the price of HSD has declined to Rs 272.99 per litre from the existing Rs 285.83 per litre. The price of Kerosene after a decline of Rs 7.19 per litre has gone down to Rs 178.27 per litre from the current Rs 185.46 per litre, while LDO after a decrease of Rs 8.20 per litre has come down to Rs 162.37 per litre from the existing Rs 170.36 per litre. Since there is no change in the price of Petrol, therefore it will be available at the existing Rs 264.61 per litre The revised prices have come into immediate effect and will remain applicable till further revision.
