PM Shehbaz, Nawaz Sharif discuss flood relief and political strategy in Jati Umra meeting

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a key meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra, where they discussed the prevailing national situation, including the devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sources said the Prime Minister briefed Nawaz Sharif on post-flood conditions, ongoing rescue and relief operations, and long-term rehabilitation measures for affected communities. He highlighted that both federal and provincial agencies are actively delivering essential supplies and medical aid in the disaster-stricken regions.

The discussion also covered the country’s political landscape and preparations for the upcoming by-elections. The two leaders reviewed the distribution of party tickets, candidate selection, and campaign strategies.

According to insiders, Nawaz Sharif stressed that addressing public grievances and prioritising flood relief must remain central to the party’s agenda to reinforce public confidence in its leadership.
