Urwa ties knot with Farhan

LAHORE: Popular actor Urwa Hocane and and singer Farhan Saeed Nikkah tied the knot in a simple ceremony at Badhshai Mosque yesterday.

The nikah ceremony was attended by family and close friends including Qasim Yar Tiwana and model Alizay. The wedding photos have become viral on social media. Prior to the marriage both had been spotted together in several events, shows and gatherings that gave rise to rumours that their wedding is on the cards.

Urwa posted a picture showing the two sisters sitting in a car for the nikah ceremony. Right after she posted images on her official Instagram account. The event became top trend under the hash tag #UrwaFarhan at Instagram.

Urwa on her Nikkah ceremony wore an off-white fully embroidered flowing dress. Urwa was seen wearing a silver-grey gharara. On the other hand, Farhan Saeed wore a white patterned sherwani.

The beautiful couple Urwa and Farhan Saeed said ‘Qabool Hay, Qabool’ (Yes it is accepted) at their Nikkah as they wed in a private and intimate ceremony. Urwa wore jewellery by Sherezad Rehmatullah and makeup was done by Nabila.

Mother of the bride, the lovely Razia Makhdoom looked elegant in a Mahgul outfit.

Farhan Saeed in mid-November made public his relationship with Urwa with posting on his official Instagram with “She said YESS!” that showed Urwa’s hand with a ring on the finger.

The grand reception of the wedding would be held in Lahore on Sunday at Faletti’s Hotel. Interestingly, the celebrity couple never tried to hide facts about their relationship from the media and was quite frank and open about it. Farhan had said “we are together and everybody knows it.”

Hocane made her film debut in the 2014 romantic comedy Na Maloom Afraad. Hocane is working on her two upcoming movies include URangreza as Reshma and Punjab Nahin Jaoongi. Both movies are expected to release in 2017. Farhan Saeed is a singer and was the former lead vocalist of the band Jal. Both the stars have huge fan following across Pakistan and among expats living abroad.
