General Syed Asim Munir has been elevated to the prestigious rank of Field Marshal, a move that has drawn widespread commendation from Pakistan's political and military leadership.

President, Prime Minister, federal ministers, and senior military officials, including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, extended their congratulations, celebrating the landmark promotion.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq hailed the cabinet’s decision, stating it would significantly uplift the morale of the armed forces. He lauded Gen Munir’s exemplary leadership and bravery, particularly his role in the successful Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.

Sadiq also honored the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs, describing them as the true champions of Pakistan. He emphasized that the professionalism of the armed forces continues to elevate the nation’s stature on the global stage.
