‘Forest Dept, Rescue 1122 working to control fire in hilly area’

PESHAWAR   -   Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) on Forests, Environment, Wildlife, and Climate Change, Pir Musavir Khan, has said that the Forest Department, Rescue 1122, and local residents are working together to control the fire in the privately owned and difficult mountainous area of Jabban Dargai. In a statement issued here, the Special Assistant said that the fire in the mountainous areas of Malakand, Ala-Dhand, Charat, and Gonyar was extinguished on Saturday.

Speaking about the situation in Jabban Dargai, he said that all senior officers and personnel of the Forest Department Malakand Division, Lower Swat, Patrol Squad, and Wildlife Department are present on-site and are actively participating in the rescue operation.

He appealed to the public to support the government in the protection of forests, emphasizing that forests are vital to our survival. He added that the promotion and protection of forests has been a top priority of the provincial government from day one.
