Three air vice-marshals promoted

ISLAMABAD  - The government of Pakistan has promoted three air vice-marshals to the rank of air marshal.
According to a statement released by Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Vice-Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan, Air Vice-Marshal Javaid Ahmed and Air Vice-Marshal Rashid Kamal have been promoted to the rank of air marshal.
Air Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan was commissioned in PAF in GD (P) branch in October 1981. During his career, he has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an operational air base. He has served as assistant chief of air staff (administration) at air headquarters. He has also served as director general media at Inter-Services Intelligence headquarters, Islamabad. Presently he is performing his duties as deputy chief of the air staff (training) at air headquarters Islamabad. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, National Defence University. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat awards.
Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed was commissioned in PAF in GD (P) branch in October 1981. During his career, he has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an operational air base. He has served as assistant chief of air staff (plans) at air headquarters, Islamabad. Presently he is performing his duties as chief project director JF-17 at air headquarters. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, Air War College and National Defence University. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) award.
Air Marshal Rashid Kamal was commissioned in PAF in GD (P) branch in October 1981. During his career, he has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing and an operational air base. He has served as assistant chief of the air staff (safety), commandant College of Flying Training, PAF Academy Risalpur and commandant National Security College at National Defence University. Presently he is performing his duties as air officer commanding at PAF Academy Risalpur. He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, National Defence University. He is a recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) award.
