Mindy Says... It all began in Playground

Dear diary,

My foot has twisted. It all began when I was in the playground in school. My friend was running and she would have bumped into another girl. I saved my friend but twisted my foot. I thought I was OK, and I went upstairs to the auditorium to hear the speeches of the candidates for the student counsel. First, my friend Raheen came and gave her speech and she caught a really big applause. It was when I felt a sudden gush of ache in my foot. I asked a girl to call the teacher, but she called the wrong teacher who said, “It will end soon”. Finally, someone called my class teacher who asked me to sit down and wait until the rush clears out. My English teacher asked my History teacher from last year, “Why is Sabene sitting?”The other teacher responded, “She has twisted her foot and that is a major injury”. My English teacher went into panic. My class teacher took me downstairs to the basement and sat me down in the foyer. Then, Eeman took me to the class, and told the Urdu teacher that my foot has twisted. It was time to go home and mama was at the gate to pick me up from school. She was shocked as I dragged meout with a lot of difficulty, shifting weight on one foot, wondering why school does not have sufficient support to help the injured.
