ISLAMABAD - In an intelligence based operation (IBOs), security forces have averted a subversive activity and arrested two terrorists and recovered a pressure cooker, an improvised explosive device (IED) and other sophisticated weapons.

According to ISPR here yesterday, security forces in two successful operations averted a terrorists bid and arrested two terrorists.

The said that the operation was conducted on a tip-off and arrested two terrorists and recovered 20 kg pressure cooker IED, rockets, hand grenades, pistols, AK 47 rifles in Karebai Oghi and Charangada villages near Mansehra.   

Earlier on May 3 the military’s top brass approved the timeline and operational details of countrywide ‘combing operations’ against terrorists and militant groups, which would involve large-scale army deployments.

As a result the security forces successfully busted an Al-Qaeda cell in Multan and eliminated the terrorists.
