ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir president Chaudhry Yasin on Tuesday said he will surrender for arrest as the people’s court had already acquitted him.
Addressing a news conference here, Yasin alleged that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf tried to win the AJK by-elections through state resources but failed.
“Two youths were killed under a conspiracy in Azad Kashmir elections on July 25,” Chaudhry Yasin said and added: “I and my son were falsely involved in Mithi Jhand case without any reason. I am grateful to the people of Kotli and Charhoi and the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party.”
Chaudhry Yasin said: “Out of nine elections of my life, this election was the most difficult for me. My two sons are currently in jail on murder charges. I myself am under investigation in the murder case.”
Chaudhry Amir Yasin contested the election from jail and won, Chaudhry Yasin said. He said the two men killed on July 25 were like his children. “God and the people of Kotli know that I am innocent,” he added.
