Several hideouts of terrorists destroyed in Lakki Marwat: DPO

LAKKI MARWAT  -  Several terrorist hideouts were destroyed during a clean-up operation in the rural areas of Lakki Marwat district, said District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Jawad Ishaq on Saturday. DPO Jawad said that police, along with commandos from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), launched a joint operation in a forest locally known as Darga, located in the Aatashi Michenkhel, Ghati Michenkhel, Sarkati Michenkhel, and Manjiwala areas. “A large contingent of law enforcers cordoned off the area along the Kurrum River after receiving information about the presence of terrorists,” he said, adding that during the operation, security personnel destroyed multiple terrorist hideouts. He noted that the dense forest was being used as a safe haven by terrorists, and the police action would help dislodge them, paving the way for their complete elimination.
