Islamabad police issue security plan for I-Day

ISLAMABAD  -  Islamabad police have issued a security plan for the Independence Day falling today (Aug 14, Thursday) with over 4,000 Islamabad police officers deployed and special checkpoints set up in the city.

Special checkpoints have been established for checking at entry and exit points of Islamabad. Hooliganism, aerial firing, and one-wheeling will not be allowed in the city under any circumstances, the police warned adding strict action will be taken against such illegal acts. Special patrolling teams have been deployed on the roads of Islamabad while all officers of Islamabad police will remain present in the field, according to the plan.  

The city administration has made all kinds of arrangements for the safety of citizens.

A special traffic plan has also been issued for the Independence Day programs. Citizens have been advised to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm while also taking special care of others.

Parents have especially been requested to keep their children away from illegal activities as Islamabad police will leave no stone unturned in ensuring safety on this joyous occasion, said the spokesman.
